Jan 15, 2021 The Post Office picked up mail containing your new card.

- EAD/AP combo card arrived two weeks later to the law firm.
- Above were the spouse's dates. Primary applicant's approval date was one
week behind.
- EAD/AP length was one-year.


I-131 (filed with I-485):

Jul 2, 2020 Received Form I-131.
Jan 12, 2021 Case Was Approved.

Interview preparation:
因為隊友還在攻PhD, 不少時間分隔兩地, 所以準備不少材料:
(大致參照前人的經驗分享, 再次感謝!)
- 從認識開始的旅行到最近(共五年)的行程列表, 包括:
- 3頁表格,列出時間/地點/簡單事件說明(例如某月去研討會或回台灣所以沒見面)
- 機票跟旅館confirmation (150~200頁+)
- 年度桌曆 + 訂單invoice + 實體相簿幾本
- 桌曆/相簿截圖或掃描, 然後簡單排到Letter紙上 (50頁+)
- Joint filed tax return / lease / insurance / 共同帳戶 / etc.

其他還有:
- I-485相關的更新文件(新的I-797 / I-20 / W-2 / Recent Paystubs / EVL / etc.)
- I-944相關的更新文件(但面試沒用到, 因I-944已廢除).
- 所有證明文件正本(以防萬一還準備了copy)
- Copy of I-485 filing. (以防萬一)

單面列印+文件頂端打雙孔簡單夾住, 方便面試官歸檔


其他I-485遞交前準備的:
- 英文出生證明, 英文離婚/結婚證明, 英文戶口謄本,
退伍令遺失證明+翻譯+外交部公證
(要小心A4文件掃描後再列印成Letter的比例, 雖然美國待久應該都知道.)


和隊友一起進去面試. 面試官很親切.
Covid期前全程要求戴口罩, 和面試官中間有透明隔板.
一開始分別問基本資料, 核對一下證明文件正本.
因Military traing相關問題我回答yes加附上addendum說明(12週新訓+4年國防役),
有被額外問到訓練內容, 用什麼槍, 然後面試官寫到addendum上讓我確認簽名.
(要我確認的還有他手寫的新地址跟搬家時間.)
接著問過I-485上的Yes/No questions, 兩人同時回答.

後面問到跟隊友什麼時候認識, 中間分隔兩地怎麼維持之類的問題,
順勢把旅行行程清單/照片+copy都拿出來.
面試官有拿了一些行程收據 + 10~20頁照片.

另外有問面試官, 為什麼AR-11發了, 面試通知還是寄到舊地址?
面試官查了一下系統, 說地址有進去,
他也不是很確定原因.
但他猜面試通知有可能是人工出的,
負責的人按照紙本申請上的(舊)地址準備面試通知.
(看到面試官用的是每個申請人獨自一疊紙本,文件上方打雙孔的文件夾)

最後給了case is still being held for review的通知,
但是另外口頭說明, 案子目前看起來沒有大問題,
快的話當天, 慢的話一周內會有結果,
真的發現缺什麼會再給RFE通知.
回家後傍晚case status就變成 new card is being produced.


本來20年10月收到I-693 RFE, 還以為疫情期間有機會免面試.
但是到21年3月看到狀態變成Ready to schedule interview還是驚了一下.
看來cross-chargeablity目前還是要面試的.
總之AOS時間大概也算平均吧.
