If you're just looking for a "room", you can find rooms around $500 a month
in the downtown area (but these may be rooms in the basement, and might not
include utility)

If you look for bachelor apartments (bachelor=1 big space with a washroom and
kitchen) it might cost you anywhere from 700-1000 (i.e. Yonge/Davisville
area is about 800 for a bachelor)
