台大地質系暑期課程 AMS for Geosciences

各位老師與同學們，大家好：

國立台灣大學地質科學系的客座教授喬治博爾博士(Dr. George Burr)將於今年暑假
八月開授”加速器質譜儀在地球科學上之應用”一門課程，我們很榮幸的邀請到他前
來台大授課與技術指導半年；享譽國際的碳十四定年專家-博爾教授目前任職於美國
亞利桑那州州立大學的加速器質譜儀實驗室(Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Lab-
oratory, University of Arizona)，該實驗室在此領域為全世界之翹楚，相信我們
從博爾教授的授課與指導之中必能學到寶貴的知識與經驗。

開授課程資料如下：

時間：共五週，一週三堂，每個星期一、三、五早上10點到12點

地點：國立台灣大學地質科學系213教室

Dear professors, researchers and students,

Dr. George Burr, visiting professor at Institute of Geosciences, NTU, will
teach a course in August this summer. The title of his class is “Accele-
rator Mass Spectrometry for the Geosciences”. Dr. Burr is currently a
research scientist in the Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Laboratory,
University of Arizona, and this laboratory is a well-known facility in the
research of radiocarbon dating. It is a great opportunity for us that he
is here sharing his years of knowledge and experience with us.


Information of the course:

Title: Accelerator Mass Spectrometry for the Geosciences

Lecturer: Dr. George Burr

Date and Time: From 8/9 to 9/11, three days a week, every Monday, Wednesday
and Friday, 10-12am.

Location: Room 213, Dept. Geosciences, NTU
