我現在在美國留學,
發現愛吃中式食物的美國人普遍喜歡醬油跟沙茶的味道.
我做菜請他們吃時只要有放這兩樣調味料,保證會被搶食一空.
(當然前提是食材不能太怪,有頭的魚/看得到骨髓的雞等等,即使加醬油沙茶他們還是會怕)
美國的中國餐廳在外帶時大都會問要不要醬油包,
我本來還不懂為什麼,
是美國人告訴我醬油包是拿來澆在飯上用的.
教我的人還很驚訝,覺得我吃Chinese food長大的竟然會不知道這種事,
我跟他說在白飯上加醬油對以中式食物為主食的人來說並不是常態,我們不會這樣吃,
對方整個就是不敢相信,
此外我跟美國人說我們有白色的炒飯(就是沒有醬色純粹用白飯炒的),
大部分的美國人也是很訝異,
再來就是簽運餅,
每個聽到我說我們沒有這種東西的美國人都是這種表情: ( ̄□ ̄|||)a
