除了北極熊瀕臨絕種危機，海象也難逃一劫。去年底，海洋學家乘著破冰船經過阿拉斯加北部時，目睹9隻小海象落單找不到媽媽，命運岌岌可危。科學家推測這是因為北極冰層快速融化，逼得大海象必須捨棄孩子，獨自求生。雖然人類還無法立刻感受暖化危機，不過北極的動物，卻正在上演空前的悲劇。
