Job Description:
Job Title: Lighting and Energy Auditor
Department: Engineering and Lighting
Reports to: Engineering Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: This position will be responsible for conducting initial
and extensive field surveys (audits) of existing lighting systems for
commercial and industrial sites, prior to lighting retrofit projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
‧ Conduct accurate field surveys, by walking property site, with the
objective of providing accurate and detailed information on the existing
lighting fixtures and systems within property.
‧ Open fixtures as needed to assess energy consumption.
‧ Use auditing tools (provided) to assist in obtaining precise
information.
‧ Communicate potential and existing issues, questions, concerns, and
overall assessment of buildings.
‧ Provide innovative ideas and recommendations for energy efficient
upgrades.
‧ Transfer field survey data to spreadsheets and databases for the
purpose of creating proposals and/or design layouts.
‧ Experience with Design software is a plus (e.g. AutoCAD, Photoshop,
Dialux, etc.) a plus.
‧ Attend utility pre and post inspection walks.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able
to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to

‧ Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency level, especially with
use of keyboard, mouse, and dual computer monitor use.
‧ Must have no less than intermediate proficiency use level with
Microsoft Excel.
‧ Ability to self-organize efficiently is a must!
‧ Minimum 1 year of experience performing energy audits preferred
(training available).
‧ Clean DMV and Background - Must have valid California Driver’s License
in good standing and verifiable (valid) automobile insurance coverage.
‧ Must be able to prove eligibility to work in U.S.
‧ Must be able to pass pre-employment background check (no felony
convictions in past 7 years).
‧ Must be willing to travel at least 50% of time, not over weekends.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: ReGreen will only employ those who are
legally authorized to work in the United States. Any offer of employment is
conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
