Post-doc in virology field

one vaccine candidate passed phase 1 clinical trial

no patent, no reviewer experience.

Timeline:
12/18/2017: Signed contract with lawyer for I-140 (Approval or Refund)
12/28/2018: I-140 submitted
12/31/2018: Receipt notice for I-140 (LIN)
03/19/2019: Signed contract with lawyer for I-485
07/27/2019: I-140 approved
10/28/2019: I-485, I-765, I-131 received by NBC (MSC)
11/04/2019: Appointment notice for biometrics received
11/22/2019: Biometrics appointment at San Francisco field office
03/04/2020: Text message for I-765 update, “new card is being produced”
03/05/2020: Text message for I-765 and I-131 update, “case was approved”
03/06/2020: Physical letters for I-765 and I-131 approval received
03/11/2020: EAD/AP card received (valid for one year)
03/25/2020: Text message for I-485 (request for initial evidence was sent)
05/18/2020: I-693 sent to NBC (Overland Park, KS)
05/20/2020: Response for RFIE was received
08/17/2020: Raised a service request through EMMA
08/17/2020: New card is being produced

簽約後一年才送出I-140，真正準備文件的時間其實不長，
主要是我一直趕實驗所以拖很久。
負責的律師不是VC，但有問必答很有效率，文件也都在期限之前完成。
因為實驗太忙，所以還是決定請律師幫忙處理I-485，整體經驗也很好。
八月底文件收集好，但是律師說排期的關係不能遞件，
所以十月份才寄給律師送出。

本來打算面試之前再做體檢，結果三月底收到RFIE。
因為疫情的關係，我這裡的第一道居家命令是5/4截止，
原本以為到時候疫情應該就控制的差不多了，
結果五月初就公布命令延長到五月底，
所以就去做體檢了($290 total，打了兩個疫苗)。

我送出體檢報告之後狀態更新為”Response to RFIE was received”，
之後就沒有消息了。
在60多天的時候透過EMMA向線上人員查詢狀態，
除了知道我的案件還在NBC之外，
其他的答案不是”still under review”
就是”I would not have that information”，
也沒能提出service request。

今天(第89天)再次透過EMMA查詢，
我告訴線上人員我已經送出response to RFE 89天了還沒有消息，
想問問我的案件現在在哪?轉到local field office了沒有?
她說她查不到案件現在在哪裡，
但是因為response to RFE已經超過60天了，
所以她會幫我送service request。
當天下午就收到email ”New card is being produced”。
感覺能不能遇到願意幫忙的線上人員還是蠻靠運氣的。

雖然還沒有收到approval notice跟綠卡，
但基本上應該是沒有問題了吧！
希望接下來的進度繼續推進。
